Summary

A homeowner in Central Kootenay B needed easier access to their septic tank and wanted to keep their yard intact. The job called for installing a riser and lid, plus a filter to help protect their septic field.

The Work

Installed a concrete-to-riser adaptor and a 24-inch riser with lid for surface access
Added an effluent filter on the outlet side of the tank to help keep solids out of the septic field
Inspected the septic field as discussed on site
Adjusted the scope to avoid extra digging and keep yard disturbance low

The Outcome

Accessing the septic tank is now much simpler. The filter helps guard the septic field from clogs. Yard space stayed mostly undisturbed, which was important to the homeowner.
